ROFL. Love the smilies.

I had no idea about the author name and e-mail in RSS2. WTF? That seems off.

As for Magpie integration, I love the $cut_item_desc bit. I've had problems dealing with feed description and title length while using zFeeder. There are a few stopgap ways of limiting things but nothing so simple as how this ties to the magpie code. Dig that.

It's a funny standard that says "your name is optional but if you have one you damn-sure better give out your email id". Check your xmlsrv/rss2.php file and you will see how Francois coded it correctly then commented out the whole line. You can restore it with this if you like...and I hope I can make it show up in a comment correctly.

fakeid@fakedomain.abc

I'll see when I post, but it all needs to be one line. Nope: it stripped out the php part. Let's try it again.
"author tag"start_php_thing the_author( 'xml' ) end_php_thing fakeid@fakedomain.abc"end author tag"
