This is a sample of a visiglyph so that if you want to you can see it flex with your browser's text size setting. Here's hoping this fake comment is long enough to wrap around the visiglyph...

Lovely idea :)

(I still wish for Gravatar to work, but maybe one day someone makes a plugin for that ;) )

Now, you'll be my hero if you let me know how you got the smilys in here and the codes for dif. formats :D
(And the nifty remember me thingy)

Hi Nicole. The "smilies in comments" are part of b2evolution now. Go to your plugins page and click the name of the smilies plugin, then check the box for "use in comments" or something like that.

The formatting buttons are a plugin I made. It's here in the hackblog somewhere but I'll be damned if I can find it from this page.

I was thinking of a gravatar plugin for a long time - waiting for gravatars to come back to life. They're active again so maybe when I clear up a few things I'll see if I can't do something about it.

Found the buttons and must have been asleep with the smilies, lol - thanks :)!!

I just started an account with them (gravatar), tested it on a few blogs and it works pretty cool.

Now to your toy here, can I put my own images in there somehow?
I tried to find a hint, but maybe I just need more coffee ;)

And one more thing, which I can't find for the Life of it, do you know if there's a plugin to get follow-up comments by email (instead of using the comment RSS)?

Thanks a million :)

I always call these toys - no offense ;)

I've checked parts of the plugins page, but always got sidetracked after a few pages, bad me ;)

Not a prob with the gravatars, just thought I ask, 'cause you sure know a lot more of what's working on b2 than I do ;)

Why doesn't it works onto my blog ?

Guillaume it's because you don't actually have a blog. You have a blogspot ;)

It doesn't work on my blog either!

Hi mitja. Did you chmod the plugins/visiglyph_plugin/visiglyphs folder to 777? You need to do that so the plugin can write the files it makes into the folder.

Hope it helps!

I think something is wrong with your folder permissions beginning with /plugins/. Try going directly to your "feeds" icon in your browser and it will show.
http://www.mojdnevnik.si/rsc/icons/feed-icon-16x16.gif

Then try going to your plugins folder and you will get a "500" error instead of the index.html page that is in that folder.
http://www.mojdnevnik.si/plugins/

Even if you try to call index.html directly it fails.
http://www.mojdnevnik.si/plugins/index.html

Can't get to a plugin's readme file either.
http://www.mojdnevnik.si/plugins/visiglyph_plugin/README.html

So I'm guessing you've got your /plugins/ folder set to 777 but it shouldn't be. It should be whatever all your other folders are - probably 775. ONLY /plugins/visiglyph_plugin/visiglyphs/ should be 777.

Also I think there may be a server configuration issue that will stop visiglyphs from working even after you figure out how to access plugins/index.html or plugins/visiglyph_plugin/README.html, but I don't really know that. First figure out why you can't see the index.html files in that folder with a browser, then let's see if your visiglyphs will work. You might have to talk to your host about it.

Good luck!

I overlooked this pluggin when I first visited but I am so glad I gave it a try now.

Just one question:
If comments have been left and pictures generating and stored. What happens if I then go into the settings and change the size?
Will the new size apply to new comments only?

Also as a side note, I read somewhere that if you leave a comment via the admin area then no pic is produced. Well it did when I tried it. Not sure if you fixed that or if I ave been lucky!

Good work.

If you pick a different size (small medium whatever) the existing comments will stay as they are. If you tweak the "special settings" existing comments will grow or shrink with the new values.

Hey that's good news on the admin-entered comments getting visigplyphs, but it wasn't a change on my part. I'm guessing b2evolution put the hook this plugin uses into the commenting area?

Glad you like it :)
