At the option of registering, plugin presents this error:

Notice: Array to string conversion in /home/asamblea/public_html/inc/_core/ui/forms/_form.class.php on line 425

Can orient me?

That sucks! I left a comment on your blog just to see if I had a problem with that part of it, but it went through okay. I'll set up a test installation with your locale to see if I can duplicate it. Registering with my locale (en_US) works okay so ... ?

Gimme some time on it and I'll get 'er done.

What multi-lingual multi-user multi-blog open source app powers this blog?

JB I see that you're not using the plugin at this point. Were you getting that error with comments or with registration? Oh okay. I see now that you are running v1.10.2 which is fine, but this plugin won't help you with that version. Somewhere around here there is an older version of the plugin that I'm pretty sure will work with 1102.

Thanks for the plugin - great idea!

I just installed it and encountered a bug; I get

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in .../inc/_misc/_misc.funcs.php on line 3197

and the test always fails. The answer box also shows up as A: A[box]AAA

TIA!

Same problem as JB (above) with the same reason: you're version of b2evolution is too old for this plugin. Somewhere on my blog is an older version of this plugin. That's what you need.

Thanks much, EdB - the old version works great! Sorry I posted before RTFM.

Will this work for trackbacks too?

Sorry, read the readme.html and it answered my question. I would sure like to see a good way to keep people from spamming my trackbacks.

Hi taydeko. I hear you! I would like to turn on trackbacks, but so far I haven't found a method to stop the spam that I like.

I've been thinking lately about trying to make this plugin work for trackbacks, but really what is needed is a way to generate unpredictable trackback URLs that will change over time. That way even when the spammers get you through search engines it won't matter because your TB_URL changed.

Sorry about that, but hey it works GREAT on comment spammers. :DD

What a great plugin. I've been looking for something to encourage commenting and this really fits the bill. Most people aren't going to register just so they can leave a comment

Hi wdawe. Yeah this one is good clean family fun eh? Exremely easy for your server to deal with, and even easier for real humans out there, but spam-bots simply aren't getting through it.

BTW I *love* your question and answer :DD

Another Gem, so where's the mine eh!

This one is probably my best contribution to b2evolution because it flat-out stops comment spam. Unfortunately I think sometimes it stops people from commenting because maybe ... I dunno. Like, they maybe don't see the box down below or can't figure out what the answer is supposed to be or ... I dunno.

The mine? I see what I don't like then see things I like then beat the two together with a keyboard until something shows up that makes me happy ;)

Hello EdB,
I always though it was hammer it to fit (ok, you are using your keyboard), and paint it to match (the end results).

Well, you do seem to chip away at the problems.

Thanks for this plug in. Haven't tried it yet but just wanted to pass on best wishes and make this observation. I searched and I mean searched - google and b2evo for a non-image based captcha plugin or hack.. I never thought to use turin test, but did search on every combo I could think of around text-based question, text captcha, non-image captcha, you name it, but never found a reference to yours. I finally got help in the hacks forum inb2evo.. I have a similar hack on my website PhpBB forum for registration and it works beautifully. I just wondered if you could find some way to get yours wider recognition for more general searches by newbies like me. I am sure it deserves to be more widely "findable"

Hi richard. um... "Turing Test" pretty much means text-based testing to determine human or not, so why wouldn't I call it that? Anyway I can't help what the search engines index and pretty much don't put too much effort into it anyway. I guess I could ... should submit this link as an antispam plugin for v2.* since it doesn't show up in that listing.

Hey dig this: CAPTCHA according to wikipedia means "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". I didn't know that until just now, but that means a captcha is, technically speaking, a turing test! Since this plugin is actually not completely automated it makes sense to not refer to it as such eh?

Anyway I'm glad you like it. This and visiglyphs are two of my faves out of the plugins I've done. I should try to make it work on trackbacks but ... well heck I'm not into trackbacks so I'm not really bothered by not having it do it's thing there ;)

EdB,

Thanks for another plugin. We've started to get a lot of junk from our Contact Form.

I wonder if it would be easy to add a checkbox to "Display on Contact Form" only checkbox. This would be great for us because comment spam is rare.
