For b2evolution v2.4.0-RC2, this plugin will make a widget that will give you a random youtube that you can stick in your sidebar. Technically you can stick it in any container, but really I was thinking about the sidebar when I made it.
You're impressed - I can tell ![]()
Settings - lots of settings. Basically three groups though so it's easy. First you decide if you want a master list of videos, or if you want to be able to have a list for each instance of the widget. This way you can sort of pick your videos to make sense with your blog if you want. Anyway the first section is the list of videos. The next section is also "master-settings or per-instance-settings", and covers what type of markup you want pre and post the video title, and the width of the video window. Finally, if you want to be nice to me you check a box and I get a little link love off your site. IF you do that you also get to assign a class or a style (or both) to the P tag that the link to me is in.
Tell ya what: if none of that makes any sense don't worry because the default parameters will work well enough. Just pick the videos you want and replace my default list with yours. And remember that you do code::title for each video.
Download it, unzip it, upload it, install it via your Global Settings tab, then go to your Blog settings tab to place it on your blog. ... and read the readme!
Very innovative and I am interested in an installation, although \ will be working from a fresh install of version 1.10.2 b2evolution, as I am not yet savvy enough to upgrade
Hi Jeffrey. Upgrading is painless - especially when you're just starting out because, really, you have nothing to lose in the process of learning new things. This plugin won't work backwards by the way.
