Acro-Link Plugin for v240-RC2 I haven't actually installed this one yet so I can't show you how it works, but it's pretty simple: you install the plugin, then go to your Tools tab, then the Acro-Link sub-tab and add keywords. You then write your post and whatever keywords are in your post will become either hyperlinks or acronyms.
I love the !M button because it makes you trip the views counter to get the plugin ![]()
So this time around I figured acronyms and links should be in the same table since they're in the same database. All you do is leave the "Link to URL" field empty and it'll be an acronym.
I also noticed a problem I could not figure out a solution to. Let's say you have "b2evolution" as a keyword linked to http://b2evolution.net with "a blog app" as your title tag. Then you add "blog" as a keyword with "like an online journal or diary" as the title tag because you want to define it (acronym). What'll happen is it'll see the word "blog" in the title tag of the link to b2evolution and turn it into an acronym. If the link is put in the old fashioned way it won't happen, but if the plugin does both then it stomps on itself. The best I could do was to put in a warning about how that is known to be a problem figuring you'll take care of it yourself.
Another thing that's weird is how it now can be "case insensitive". What that means is that "dog" will match "dog" or "DOG" or "DoG" to make your acronym or hyperlink. The problem is it will replace the keyword with "dog". Technically speaking you asked it to do that when you set "Case sensitive" to NO because you told it to replace any matching instance with either an acronym or a hyperlink using the URL and title tag AND keyword as entered in the back office, but I don't think it's what people will expect.
Okay that's enough. Time for a download link yah?
Download it, unzip it, upload it, install it via your Global Settings tab, then go to your Tools tab to add your acronyms and links. ... and read the readme!
Added this to my blog already though I have only setup one link for now. I have the older version on one of my other blogs. I like this one a lot and would say it's probably one of the most useful ones I have. Also it's fun because it allows me to put in links where I normally wouldn't because I'm too lazy. Thanks!
Can this work with ccs? I have some "hidden" links in my posts. These links appear to be like regular text until you hover them. I like to do this for things I might mention but are not the focus of the post. It would be cool if asside from specifying the web address I could add a style tag or something like that. Any chance of an upgrade?

Didn't work:
Followed up in the forums, but wow there is simply no reason for the "solution" you found. But hey it's working so there you go!
I love this plugin, because I've set up a lengthy FAQ about puppets, and it's great to link posts to one another without having to retype the links. However upgrading to the b2evo 2.0 version meant that I had to redo all of my database tables! Wish it was slightly easier to upgrade
Hi Na3. Glad you like it, but I'm a bit surprised you had to redo the whole table upon upgrade. It is supposed to know if you have the table already and use it so I dunno what went wrong. Sorry 'bout that
