I got just under 900 miles done in just over 15 hours. Getting ~25 miles to the gallon, haven't paid over $3 per gallon yet so yay. First night is under $50 so again yay. That was my "budget": 20 per gallon at $3 per, and $50 per night. For some reason I didn't budget food money. Silly puppet. The Wow Diner is way west in New Mexico. Too early for me to eat but I thought "wow a real diner named Wow" so I shot it. Found out the hard way I'm still not ready for "straight from the camera to a resized thumb. First, my code doesn't expect .JPG as the extension. Silly puppet. So I fixed that, which is something I absolutely wanted to avoid (manipulating the image), and found out my code chokes for memory exhaustion. Damn. Resized it from it's original ~3600 pixels wide to 2000 wide, uploaded again, and it worked. It made the 320-wide image upon upload. Yay!

I really don't like laptop keyboards

Thought about driving straight through tonight and getting a room after noon tomorrow. Today probably by now. Whatever. But couldn't do it. Tired early. Probably slightly related to a lack of caffiene combined with constantly calculating how long since my last smoke. Not smoking in the car, and not willing to pull over just for a smoke, but that didn't stop me from constantly figuring out if I needed gas or maybe had to pee
