Peer (from Vlotho Germany) says:

My dad built the rack. As you can see we use a normal ladder with pads. To fix the glider we use width Velcro these avoids bends and dents. The ladder is fixed with screws on the rackcarrier.

The end result is a very clean rack, as you'll see after the jump. I once did a rack with a ladder, but mine looked like shit compared to Peer's. This is something I need to keep in mind when I complete my rack on my new truck.
